wifes new tank

    a bit confused on the plant front...I thought the goldfish trashed the last plants you got? Glad wifey is coming around to the lighting idea...I think it will look great if you find the "right" one.

    It's not so much that they trash the plant as they dig them up ( they do eat tender plant) so what you have to do is plant in little 1" or 2" clay pots so they can't up root them so it comes down to picking tulf fast growing water weeds
    something like this or commit to a life of for ever replanting

    That actually a spawn going on.
    Orange & white is the female depositing egg in the plant
    Then all you have to do is move the plant to a hatching flat

    Eek, I'm late at responding, Your wife should've bought me a 100 gal instead of that :)

    Its an odd tank but really cool.
