hi ALL, LONG TIME NO POST,

    sorry caps.

    so I have a theory.

I beleive that in Australia my LFS is selling me heavily inbred yellow labs

I think this because, when the are growing out of their adolescent-ness they start to form lesions on their bodies, another LFS has told me that it is a fungus, the same one that plagues common goldfish, I think they are (my yellow labs) genetically weak because no other fish in the tank shows any sign of discomfort or lesions or white-ness from fungus.

    what are your thoughts?

P.S. water parameters are pretty much bang on constantly

    Re: Yellow Lab's lesion

forget it thanks people, just wanted to enter a discussion about the posibility my labs are inbred, do you just skim over my post and put it down to poor fish keeping? this is the second time i have posted something only to have the original topic not even spoken about, the first time I posted some pics of my african tank and the only comments were that my water level is too low that its silly to have a venustus in there as they grow too big. I have seen praise sung for somneone's new tank pics that have no fish in it what so ever. i used to get into some great discussions when this site first started and loved it, I was the 23rd member that originally joined befor the site was re-vamped or whatever happened and i had to join again.

sorry if it sounds like a whinge but thats how i feel.
hey nextime i'll just google it.

How can we get into a discussion about inbreeding when you asked about lesions on a fish? I asked you for pictures to help you out with healing the fish. If you really want my opinion the red devil in your 40 gallon tank has been stunted by now, do you notice a curve in its spine from being in a tank so small? Google inbreeding yellow labs and see what comes up, enjoy your day.

from my experince inbreeding does not cause lesions onfish, only deformed fins, bodies and things

I dont think he cares what they it causes, I think that he just wants to talk about inbreeding.
