    I started a Micro worm culture a week or so ago, and it has become completely over-run with fruit flies.

    That said, I fed a few maggots to my fish the last two days, they seemed really pleased with this and I suppose for adult fish it works well. Anyone think or know otherwise?

    larvae is larvae to a fish. maggots are larve however i dont think they are called maggots being they are fruit flies.

    My fish eat anything from grasshoppers to blackworms and everything in between.

    They should be fine and full of nutrients.

    I agree with previous posters :) Especially since you're cultivating them yourself, it should be safe!

    ^^ thanks guys. The dude at the pet store like flipped (more so since I wasn't going to need to buy blood worms from him as often, I think) and made me worried I was going to kill them o.o;

    if you raise them as food then they will be perfectly healthy and chock full o good stuff. Especially since you can regulate exactly what they eat.
