only 25 dollars to ship a tank, heck yea, I would buy a dang 100+ gallon tank online if I could that kind of shipping.

However I don't have the money for a tank that size, or even the room to set up.

Re: Am I being too picky?

You can get a female betta for less than $5 in the petstores, choose the color, and physically see whether they are what you want, and not worry about stress/issues related to shipping.
I think I'd stick to picking my own imo.

Personally, I'd stick with the gupsters.
Even my lfs that breeds in their basement doesn't deal with the bubblenest breeders, says too much work?

Re: Am I being too picky?

I found another site that sells female crowntails for $3.99 (plus $9 shipping), but you can't pick color, so it's a crap shoot.

O dang that stinks, but there one good thing about that then, the stores would be more willing to trade or buy that way. I'm going to wait for now.

Re: Am I being too picky?

I'd take one like the female in this pic though! I still want the crimson, but a little steel like this one could complete my quartet perfectly (I now have a dark blue female and a turquoise female).

Yeah, Petco sells livestock online... Petsmart does not... hence the name Pet SMART! lol

Sorry, I hate Petco! -- Order that fish and it looks nice in the picture (stock photo) but when you get it will be coated in Ich with Fin Rot!

Re: Am I being too picky?

I was just randomly googling "female betta fish for sale" and it came up in the list. Clicked on the link and Viola! Wish I could get a little steel like that, though. She's pretty.

Re: Am I being too picky?

Oh, I agree with you, Lemon. I got my copper veiltail from Petco and he died a couple of weeks back. I was very aggrevated! I liked Edward and he was really unique. All my boys and girls from Petsmart are still going strong though.

Calm down Ryan, don't get your fol in a bunch...the poor forumer was just googling and its the 1st thing that popped up.
Sorry...Just had too. Blame it on the illness...not the inflicted person. Lol.
(pats Ryan on the back for becoming her victim).

Re: Am I being too picky?

Sounds like my Wal-marts. My petco is so so...depends on who they hired for the month. Lol!
Petsmart is obviously better and pretty much tied with Elmers Aquarium...but Elmers has a bigger selection...so I tend to prefer them.
